There are tons of amazing restaurants in Montreal. Try Globe, Med, Buona Notte; all located on St. Laurent & Sherbrooke. (on the expensive side)
On the cheaper more casual side is Shed Cafe and Kaizen's.
For sushi you must try the fushion japanese restaurant Shodan on Rene Levesque. It's a dining experience.
Also popular among locals and tourists is the Bring Your Own Wine restos found on Duluth. The best BYOW is Chez Yoyo. It's a little out of the way but worth it. I can't recall the name of the street, but I'm sure they have a website. Just Google it.
